1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account details (name, email, password) when you register.
• User Content you submit (routes, descriptions, photos).
• Communications you send us (support requests, feedback).

Information collected automatically

• Location data — including precise GPS location, collected to provide turn-by-turn navigation and to track and map your drives. We collect this while you are using the App and during an active navigation or drive-tracking session (which may continue while the App is in the background during that session). We do not collect your location when you are not in an active navigation or tracking session.
• Usage and interaction data (features used, routes viewed, session activity).
• Device and technical data (device model, OS version, app version, identifiers, crash logs).

Information from purchases

• Subscription status and transaction identifiers from the app stores. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide navigation, drive tracking, and route discovery features;
• Create and manage your account and subscription;
• Operate, maintain, debug, and improve the App;
• Communicate with you (service messages, support, and — if you opt in — push notifications);
• Understand usage through analytics;
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues;
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral (“targeted”) advertising, or use precise location for advertising.

3. How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us run the App, under contracts limiting their use of the data:

• To comply with law, legal process, or enforceable government requests;
• To protect the rights, safety, and property of Road & Rally, our users, or others;
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice as required).

We do not otherwise share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing.

4. Your choices

• Location: You can enable or disable location access anytime in your device settings. Disabling it will limit navigation and tracking features.
• Push notifications: Opt out anytime in device settings or in-app notification settings.
• Account: You can access or update account information in the App, or request deletion (see “Your privacy rights”).

5. Data retention

We follow the principle of data minimization — we keep information only as long as we need it.

• Account information: retained while your account is active, and deleted within 90 days after you close your account, except where we must retain it longer to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
• Your drive history: because saved drives are a core feature, we retain the drives you track for as long as your account is active so you can view them. You can delete individual drives, or your entire account, at any time.
• Raw precise location beyond your saved drive history (used for diagnostics and to improve routing): de-identified or deleted within 90 days.
• Analytics data: retained in identifiable form for up to 24 months, then aggregated or deleted.
• Backups: residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on our regular backup cycle (within 90 days).

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate information;
• Delete your information;
• Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information;
• Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

California residents: You have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the rights above. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, so there is nothing to opt out of.

EU/UK residents (if applicable): Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases for processing are performance of our contract with you (providing the App), your consent (e.g., for push notifications and precise location), and our legitimate interests (improving and securing the App). You also have rights to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

7. Children’s privacy

The App is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy. We’ll post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice in the App.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content in the App infringes your copyright, email us at info@roadnrally.com. Please include: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material and where it appears in the App, your contact information, a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf. We will review and remove infringing content as appropriate.
